I have done my 14 years of schooling in St. Mary’s ( June 2002- April 2016)…..It was a great period in my life. All sisters and teachers of St. Mary’s influenced me a lot and it has made as indelible imprint and it will remain evergreen in my memory. I am proud of my school. It has a divine and pleasant atmosphere which made my heart always calm and peaceful. I loved everyone and everything in my school. The large playground, smart classrooms and perfect library sweet friends etc. I wish I could go back in past because with me only the ruins of those sweet memories last.

There’s no Words that could express my emotion towards St.Mary’s. It’s a Heaven, where I was once a completely free bird. I am forever indebted to the entire St. Mary’s family, Sr.Sheeja Rose, Sr.Namitha, Sr. Nancy, Sr.Bincy, Sr.Jissa, Sr.Ancita, Sr.Alphonsa, Mr. Arokiyaraj, Mr.Arunachalam, Mr. Sampath Kumar, Mr.Gopi Shankar, Mrs.Suguna, Mrs.Malliga, Mrs. Indhu, our favourite PT Master Vignesh, van driver Basha brother for helping me achieve greater heights and find a purpose in my life. I extend my warm regards to all my teachers and the management who have immensely helped me succeed. They stood with me during my weakest moments and torched the right path for me. I’m not exaggerating but without them I’m nothing.

I Feel immensely privileged to relive my school memories through this article. My School days can be split below 7^th STD and above. I still remember how naughty I was before 7^th and I couldn’t believe myself even now is it me then. Then the teachers inspired me with science and I later turned out to be a Nerd. It’s been nearly 8 years the memories are still fresh that I longfor to liveback once again. I would do anything to go back to my classrooms and play with my friends, adore my teachers. St. Mary’s has blessed me with such wonderful friends, many of whom still remain more than a family till.

Schools build the Character upon which teacher’s add the knowledge. St.Mary’s has definitely sculpted my character with discipline, moral principles and showered with knowledge that I have become a passionate doctor now.

Even thought of my school brings out the smile whatever the life situation be. It’s the part of my life I never wanted to end.

I am very much delighted to share my experience in my favourite, St Mary’s Convent School, Annur. I did whole of my schooling at St. Mary’s (2000-2014), graduated at A.C.Tech., Anna University (2014-2018) and did Masters in IIT Delhi (2018-2020). Presently working as Executive-Costing at Loyal Textile Mills Ltd, Kovilpatti.

St. Mary’s has laid a strong foundation in me to challenge any situation & develop the desire to achieve the best & excel in all that I undertake. Our School,with amicable teachers, is always passionate about grooming students to talented &fulfilled persons. St. Mary’s has certainly helped me expand my knowledge horizon & took me out of the shell, pushed me beyond the abilities that I didn’t even know existed & made me what I am today. Myself, Ramapriya.S. I am currently studying BE Computer Science in PSG Tech. I am 2022 passed out and a very proud alumni of St Mary’s Convent Matriculation Hr.Sec.School.

I have studied in this school for 14 years right from LKG to 12^thSTD.This is the place where I began to learn the alphabet and can now use the same to solve equations. It is the period during which I learnt the basic principles of behavior, speech, and etiquette. My School is the place where one gets trained to be a disciplined human. Discipline is the first and foremost thing to be explicitly specified while describing my school. My school isvery supportive and do really welcome new talents. I had a great experience and cherishable moments with wonderful teachers and lovely friends. My teachers are the most important people of my life. They cheered me and motivated me and they are the absolute reason for what I am today. I have learnt a lot from them and I really love the way they treat, care and support us. They not only brought out the best from us but also taught us the rights and wrongs of life. I was also gifted with lot of friends and they are the people for life indeed. My school life is no less than a blessing that has given me priceless joys in life. It helped me to gain understanding and to succeed not only in my studies but also, in co-curricular activities and taught me a lot of life skills, for which I am grateful to this day. In my ears, those words of wisdom and prayers are still ringing. I still remember me and my friends sharing lunch during the lunch break, playing badminton on the court, the joyful interactions with teachers and taking part in various co-curricular activities, the special days with programs are the most exciting ones and of course, the excursion trips and the list goes on. Now that I look back, I had entered my school crying, not wanting to let go of my mother’s hand, scared of the new place and new people, and I left it crying, scared of leaving that place, those friends, and inspiring teachers.

My School also provided me the opportunity to participate and develop skills in various extracurricular activities like drawing, singing, dancing, creative writing, anchoring, playing badminton and more. I am the type of person who is interested in most of the extracurricular activities and wish to participate in much of the competitions. I was allowed to participate in all and I had secured prizes in more of those competitions and that was again the best memory. It was my teachers who found a drawing skill in me and with their encouragement, I started improving it from then.I wished for an Indian Book of Record last year for drawing 50 Indian personalities in a single chart each of 6*6 cm drawings. But unfortunately, I couldn’t grab that because my face wasn’t included in my drawing video. I am happy that I tried and it’s again the teachers who pushed me forward. In curriculum, I have faced lot of slight ups and downs in examinations and I do really care of my marks as it really meant more to me. The marks I gained may be because of my efforts but without the support and motivation from my teachers, the efforts wouldn’t have gained success and that led to gain a merit seat in one of the most prestigious institution, The PSG Tech.

I take this to thank my respected Sr.Principal, Sr. Correspondent, Sr.Vice Principal, Teachers and my Friends who made me what I am today.

I am happy to be a product of St. Mary’s Convent Matric Higher Secondary School. My School not only provides a platform to enrich academically but also emphasises on the all-around development of all the students. To begin with, I am Dhivya, I would proudly say that I was one of the buds that bloomed from the beautiful plant called the St. Mary’s Convent Matric Higher Secondary School. I had done my schooling completely at St. Mary’s Convent Matric Higher Secondary School. One of my achievements still I used to cherish was my  X Grade result, I was the topper of the school with 497 out of 500 marks. I was both the state Rank and the District Rank holder.  I am Currently pursuing my job at the Department called “India Post”. This achievement was possible only through the patronage and encouragement that I had received from my parents and teachers.

It’s a great honour and privilege to relive my school memories through this article. I remember way back during school days, I used to love waking up in the morning and dress up to go to school, recalling all the previous day’s homework that we had to do at any cost. I used to think of myself everyday “Oh God, when will I grow up and have no burden of studies”… But 15 years after graduating from high school, I would just do anything to go back to my school days, sit in my classroom, adore my dear teachers and play with my friends. The joys of school life are surely
countless. Yes, indeed school days are the best phase in life. It is the first step we take to learn about life. In addition St. Mary’s has blessed me with such wonderful friends, many of whom still remain more than a family till date.
