My name is Sherly Jayanandaraj, Class of 2007, Co-Founder and Executive Director at Yatzar Creations Private Limited, Coimbatore.
At the very outset I would like to express my heartiest thanks to the St. Mary’s family. I am highly indebted to the entire St. Mary’s family, in particular, Sis. Sheeja Rose, Sis. Solly, Sis. Namitha, Sis. Sofia, Sis Nancy, Mr. Sampath Kumar, Mrs. Indhu for helping me achieve greater heights and find a purpose in my life. I extend my warm regards to all my teachers and the management who have immensely helped me succeed.
It’s a great honour and privilege to relive my school memories through this article. I remember way back during school days, I used to love waking up in the morning and dress up to go to school, recalling all the previous day’s homework that we had to do at any cost. I used to think of myself everyday “Oh God, when will I grow up and have no burden of studies”… But 15 years after graduating from high school, I would just do anything to go back to my school days, sit in my classroom, adore my dear teachers and play with my friends. The joys of school life are surely
countless. Yes, indeed school days are the best phase in life. It is the first step we take to learn about life. In addition St. Mary’s has blessed me with such wonderful friends, many of whom still remain more than a family till date.
When I was trying to find a purpose in my life, I remembered how bold and fearless I was during my high school, and without a doubt I knew I’d be successful if I start a business. It is the courage and leadership I gained from here that has made me an entrepreneur today. St. Mary’s is an emotion. It is so close to my heart, when I think of my school days, memories keep gushing from somewhere deep within my subconscious mind. These memories keep reminding
me, all things are possible if I believe.
I can go on writing all that St. Mary’s has done to me, but this article cannot contain it. St. Mary’s helped me realize my dreams and achieve my goals. I am proud to be an alumna of St. Mary’s.
